Welcome to Naomi Leanage’s personal blog
The Origin
As a 19-year-old who’s pretty much climbed and survived the big mountain in life most people call puberty (left with acne scars and all) about to jump off and enter the deep dark waters of adulthood, I stopped scrolling through tumblr for five minutes to reflect upon the last seven years of my life. Though most memories are still with me, I realized that there is so much that I do not, and probably will never, remember. If only I could back and remember what I liked, what I wore, what I saw as a young and hardly reckless teenager.
And so the concept for this blog began. Somewhere I can blog/vlog my journey through my twenties. A pretty huge decade in my life if you ask me, and one that a lot of pressure is put on. Graduate university, get a full time job, move out, buy my own place, wash my own dishes, do my own laundry, travel and see the world, fall in love, possibly marry, look for a wedding dress, maybe even have kids. All of this is expected to happen in the short span of 10 years.
So welcome to Confessions of a Twenties Girl; where you can read about my adventures as a young adult trying to make my dreams come true. (I tried Disney World–twice–and it didn’t work.)
The Girl
My name is Naomi, and I’m a girl currently stuck in the suburbs outside of a beautiful city called Toronto (in Canada).
I’m a 20-year-old budding journalist, in my third year of University, dreaming big of writing for the oh-so-competitive magazine industry.
I love to travel more than anything, immerse myself in a really good book, block out the outside world with good music, sit back and watch my CW shows, attend concerts and events and anti-social network like no tomorrow.
Right now, I’m the Managing Editor of my school newspaper and an intern for Canada’s #1 Student Magazine called Faze.
You can follow me on twitter at @Naomi_ML
The Name
It comes from a mix of two Sophie Kinsella novels I never read but heard were great: Confessions of a Shopoholic and Twenties Girl.
I like to (re)blog, a lot.

Extra, extra! Read all about it
I officially began this blog on August 28, 2012 but you will notice posts from early summer months as early as May 2012. I started archiving and adding old posts from a previous blog I ran (experiencedmoments.com) recently, so that people can read about my (for once exciting) summer adventures!
