Interview with Fall Out Boy and your chance to win a signed CD!

If I was my 13-year-old self today, I would probably have passed out from excitement. I would’ve had no voice, because I lost it screaming at the top of my lungs. My eyes would’ve been wide open and staring in disbelief. Sweat may have been beginning to drip from my forehead, and my hands would be shaking uncontrollably.

Why, you ask?

Well I’m interviewing Fall Out Boy of course. And thank goodness I stayed as my polite, professional and fan-girl-free 20-year-old self while talking to Pete Wentz (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Andy Hurley (drummer) of the rock band. I even had the chance to chat with Patrick Stump (lead singer) who was extremely nice (and short!).

While the interview won’t be out soon, you can expect it in the back-to-school issue of Faze Magazine, I thought now is as good a time as any to host a giveaway and give you awesome readers a chance to win one of two SIGNED Fall Out Boy CDs (signed by Patrick, Pete and Andy, Joe was unavailable).

fobThere are two different ways to enter for the two different CDs. Contest is open worldwide, and it’s one entry per person per CD. Contest closes June 25, 2013, winner will be notified on June 26. Good Luck!

  1. Hoooooly sheeeet Naomi! FOB is my fave – I pre-ordered Save Rock and Roll. My fave song by them has to be “our lawyer made us change the name of this song so we wouldn’t get sued” because when i was like 11 and the CD came out my sister and I spent that entire summer screaming FOB lyrics while driving around the country! That was our fave and has forever remained one of my faves to this day. But it’s so hard to choose just one. From Under the Cork Tree is definitely my favorite album, and I’m loving Save Rock and Roll. My fave song from that album has to be Save Rock and Roll or The Pheonix because I adore Elton John, and the lyrics on both are so great! But like I said, SO hard to choose just one favorite. But I’m incredibly jealous you got to meet them – I’m fan girling!!! :)

  6. It’s hard to choose just one song because all of Fall Out Boy’s songs are really creative and amazingly catchy in their own way, But I have to say What a Catch, Donnie will always have a special place in my heart because it’s not only the first ballad-type song they did, But the video for it evoked so many emotions that I was all over the place, The song is about someone who has bad self esteem and doesn’t know how rad they really are and that they are really a good guy “a catch”, I know exactly what it feels like to not be good enough and to constantly doubt myself, So to have that reminder in a song that I’m not as bad as I think I am means more to me than anything. What a Catch, Donnie inspired me to write a poem about someone who means a great deal to me who no longer considers me a friend but who is still very dear to my heart, I think a lot of it is that this song was written by Pete to remind himself of Patrick the most out of all the songs, and the real meaning behind the song is that friendship is really strong and even if you feel like you aren’t good enough, I think everyone needs to have that friend reminding them that even though they think they aren’t good at anything, They are actually a catch. It will always be my favorite song and fall out boy is my favorite band, Their music and their lives inspire me to be a better, nicer and more tolerant person every single day of my life and I have no idea where I would be (Or who I would be) without them.

  7. I’d have to say Dance, Dance, because of it’s importance in my life. I know it sounds so cliche choosing one of their most popular songs, but I would have never expected it to last this long in my life. I heard it first years ago, and it somehow has always trailed through me and my life, and I always find its significance towards me. Listening to Dance, Dance is of my greatest, favorite ways to cope.

  8. It’s a very hard decision that you have requested I make, but my favorite Fall Out Boy song would have to be I Don’t Care. A few years ago I struggled with depression and self harming. I felt so utterly alone, but this song and this band got me through it. Screaming this song and dancing to it like nobody was watching gave me strength and reminded me that it really didn’t matter what people said about me, because I know who I am. This song honestly helped save my life.

  9. My favorite song would have to be Disloyal Order of Water Buffaloes. The song is just a great opener to probably my favorite album of theirs. The song just sets a good tone and is so catchy.

  11. My favorite FOB song would have to be Disloyal Order of Water Buffaloes. Something about it just touches me in all the right places and it’s amazing shouting “DETOX JUST TO RETOX!” with a bunch of people when the guys play it live.
