This Halloween, why not dress to impress and make others laugh as the Stranger Things wall?! This Stranger Things costume is funny, creative and so easy to put together last minute.
This costume idea was first seen at Comic-Con and I couldn’t help but fall in love. So I definitely had to create my own version of the Stranger Things wall costume and share it with you guys.
There are honestly so many different ways you can put this together, such as using a tee or a button-down shirt instead of a dress. You could also make the lights functional, using a portable battery pack. I can’t promise you’ll win all of your Halloween costume contests this year, but at least you won’t be one of the dozen Barbs at the party!

One of the great things about this DIY Stranger Things costume, is that you don’t need too many supplies. If you shop right, it can cost you under $30, which is a lot cheaper than what party store’s like to charge for a crop top and underwear. Like $80 to be a “sexy” nurse, really?! Anyways, here’s what you’ll need:
- A floral dress or shirt
- Small Christmas lights
- Big Christmas lights (or just the bulbs)
- A hot glue gun
- A black sharpie marker
- Black fabric paint and a brush
